Adding QR codes to Equipment

On Prism Mobile,  you can add QR codes to Equipment by scanning them via the Prism Mobile App.

On Prism Web, You can add them in bulk or individually if you have the text code behind the QR code(s). 

Step 1: Open the Prism App​ 

1. Download the Prism for Property Managers app in the Apple or Android App Store.​
2. Log into the app using your Prism account information​
3. Select the property in which you are configuring asset QR codes OR select “All Properties”​
4. Navigate to “Equipment”.​

 

Step 2: Select the Asset​

1. Select the Asset​
2. In the example on the right, I’m viewing a list of all my available properties (“Gadonas Gardens” and “Pretzel’s Property”).​
3. I want to tag an asset in my Gadonas Gardens property, so I’ve selected that.​
4. Next, I’ll click “Basement Chiller” to open the asset record.​

 

Step 3: Scan the QR Code​

1. The asset should now has a QR code sticker affixed.​
2. Now it’s time to associate the QR code to the asset record in Prism.​
3. I’ve clicked into the Basement Chiller asset record (equipment page).​
4. Now, I’ll click +”Add Barcode or QR Code”​
5. The phone’s camera will open. Hold your camera over the QR code.​
6. Once the camera captures the QR code, you are all set!​

 

Bulk Importing QR Codes ​

1. On Prism Desktop:​
2. Navigate to the Equipment Module ​
3. Select Actions > Import​
4. Download the Import Template​
5. Load all required asset data, and in the “Bar Codes” column, enter the alphanumeric code associated with the QR sticker(s)​
6. Import the completed Data Sheet​
