This feature enhances property management by allowing more precise status tracking and access control. User visibility of properties with these statuses depends on individual permission levels, ensuring appropriate information access across different user roles.
The two additional status options for properties are Decommissioning and Pending.
Decommissioning:
-
Indicates the property is not yet live for tenants
-
Team is still setting up the environment
-
Access restricted based on user permissions
Pending:
-
Signifies the property is being sold
-
Tenants should no longer submit work for the property
-
Maintenance activities continue
-
Visibility controlled by user permissions

Permission Requirements:
Within the “Buildings” permission section, we have two new permissions for property lifecycle:
-
“Can Access Decommissioning Buildings”
-
Users with this permission can view and interact with properties that are in the Decommissioning Status
-
If a user does not have this permission, they will not see this property within their profile
-
“Can Access Pending Buildings”
-
Users with this permission can view and interact with properties that are in the Pending Status
-
If a user does not have this permission, they will not see this property within their profile
NOTE:
-
If a property is in the Active status, users will have full access as they did prior to this workflow.
-
Users who are already tied to existing work will need also to have the permission “Can Be Assigned Work”. This eliminates the chance of a user having access to an open, assigned task and losing access when the property status changes.
