The Self-Insured feature aims to ease compliance management by allowing users to easily identify companies with self-insured policies in the current year. By enabling the “Self-Insured” toggle on certificate coverage types, users will gain clear insight into the companies insuring against their own assets and be able to quickly follow up with them for additional compliance documentation.
With this feature, you can:
-
Mark coverage types as "Self-Insured" when creating or editing a certificate
-
Filter for any certificates with self-insured coverage types from the Certificates grid
-
Identify companies that are currently covered by self-insured policies
Adding Self-Insurance on Certificates
-
When entering or editing a certificate, you'll see a new "Self-Insured" checkbox for each coverage type.
-
Check this box for any coverage types the company self-insures.
-
Save Certificate.
Note: Self-Insured status is enabled only on the certificate. No additional set up required on Profiles.

-
Non-Compliant: ANY coverage type (including coverage types marked “Self-Insured” and coverage types not marked “Self-Insured”) DOES NOT meet/exceed required limit amount
