In Prism, there are 3 types of tasks you can create to manage equipment, spaces, and scheduled work in the system: Preventive Maintenance Tasks, Inspections, and Recurring Work Orders.
Preventive Maintenance:
1. Routine service of a piece of Equipment/Asset to minimize downtime while increasing its operational effectiveness and life. (Examples: Regular oil changes, Belt replacements, Filter cleanings, etc)
2. Scheduled as recurring
3. Can only be created by property manager users via desktop app
4. Cannot be created by tenant or vendor users
5. Can be worked on and completed via desktop or Prism Mobile App by property manager assignee
Inspections:
1. Work completed on-site to ensure a Property meets all standards, or can be used to identify potential issues before they become problems.
2. Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards (Examples: Safety checks on fire extinguishers, visual inspections of building exteriors, or equipment performance evaluations)
2. Can be scheduled as recurring
3. Can only be created by property manager users via desktop app
4. Cannot be created by tenant or vendor users
5. Can be worked on and completed via desktop or Prism Mobile App by property manager or vendor assignee
Work Orders:
1. Typically reactive in nature, consisting of a request for work, usually assigned to a Vendor, Engineer or team. (Examples: weekly cleaning schedules, monthly pest control services, quarterly landscaping tasks)
2. Can be scheduled as recurring
3. Can be created by a tenant, vendor, or property manager user
4. Can be created via the desktop, Prism Mobile app, and Prism for Tenants app.
5. Can be worked on and completed via desktop or Prism Mobile App by property manager or vendor assignee
