Prism Insurance allows property management organizations (PMOs) to set up compliance profiles specifying insurance requirements for tenant, vendor, and property management companies.
Key Considerations:
- Only users with the proper insurance permissions can create and edit profiles
- Profiles can be set as defaults at the company or property level
- Coverage types are standardized across all Prism accounts
Here's how to create an Insurance (COI) Profile:
- Navigate to the Insurance module in Prism
- Select the "Profiles" tab
- Click "Add Profile"
- Enter a name for the profile
- Choose whether the profile applies to tenants, vendors, or the property management company
- Specify coverage types required (e.g. General Liability, Workers Compensation)
- For each coverage type, enter the minimum required coverage amount
- (Optional) Add additional requirements, such as naming additional insured entities
- Click "Add Profile" on the bottom right to save the profile
Once the profile is created, you can apply it to properties. See below on how to do so.
- If you navigate to My Properties > Click relevant property
- Settings
- Prism Insurance
- Edit
- Select Relevant Profile
- You should see the profiles you've saved earlier populate.
- You should see the profiles you've saved earlier populate.
Similarly, you can assign insurance profiles to companies, instead of properties. See below on how to do so:
- Navigate to My Companies > Select relevant company
- Settings > Insurance
- Edit
- You should see the profiles you've created earlier populate as options
