How It Works
The Project Duration Tracking feature provides a comprehensive view of your project's time-related metrics:
- On the project summary page, you'll find a toggle to switch between "Cost" and "Duration" views.
- The Duration view displays three key performance indicators (KPIs) related to project hours:
- Planned Hours
- Completed Hours
- Billable Hours
These KPIs are calculated based on hours recorded for work orders and project tasks associated with the project.
Common Use Cases
- Monitor time spent on urgent projects
- Track progress of ongoing tasks
- Manage billable hours for client projects
- Evaluate resource allocation across multiple tasks and work orders
How to Use the Feature
- Navigate to your project's summary page.
- Toggle the view from "Cost" to "Duration."
- Review the three KPIs displayed: Planned Hours, Completed Hours, and Billable Hours.
- Scroll down to see a breakdown of hours by Work Orders, Bids, and Project Tasks.
Adding Hours to a Project
- Create a new work order or project task.
- Assign estimated hours when creating the item.
- As work is completed, update the status of tasks and work orders.
- The system will automatically adjust the KPIs based on the updates.
