The Prism Customer Success and Support team recently hosted a webinar on "Leveraging Accounting Templates for Cost Reports." Led by Aaron Nadler, Erol Ogunc, and John Deane, the session provided insights into maximizing Prism's accounting module. Participants learned how to export invoices, send batches to other accounting tools, and use batch templates to analyze charge and spending trends. The webinar included a step-by-step demonstration of creating custom batch templates and exporting data for analysis.
Q&A:
-
Q: What other systems have you seen clients import this into, and does it require an integration?
-
A: Clients can export and import without integration using CSVs. For systems Yardi we do. Please reach out to Prism Support or integrations@buildingengines.com for more information.
-
-
Q: For templates, how do you rearrange the order of fields or remove them before exporting them to CSV?
-
A: In the Templates section, you can remove and re-add fields in the desired order. The order you add the fields is the order they will appear in the exported batch.
-
-
Q: How can I unlock a batch?
-
A: Navigate to the batch, select the three dots, and choose "Unlock batch" (assuming you have the correct permissions).
-
-
Q: How do I credit a tenant?
-
A: Navigate to the work order, go to the labor and materials tab, select the three dots next to the charge, and choose "Credit." You can apply a full or partial credit.
-
-
Q: Why is this charge not showing as non-taxable?
-
A: Prism checks three areas for taxability: issue type, labor rate/material, and tenant company.
