Amenities enhance the resource reservation experience by offering additional features or conveniences that can be tracked and managed. In Prism, amenities can be created in two ways:
- Directly from a resource (which will add it to Materials in Accounting)
- Via the Accounting module when creating a "Material"
Creating a New Amenity from Accounting:

Navigate to the Accounting Module

Select the Materials tab from the menu

Click the "+ Create Material" button in the top right corner.
4. Ensure the Category is set to Amenity.
5. Enter Details

- Name: Enter a clear, descriptive name for the amenity.
- Manufacturer: Specify the manufacturer if applicable.
- Currency: Choose the appropriate currency.
- Markup: Add a percentage or fixed amount if a markup applies.
- Cost: Enter the cost.
- Taxable: Enable if the amenity is subject to tax.
- Property Visible: Toggle on if you want the amenity to be visible to the property.
6. Click Save to add the new amenity to your amenities library.
Adding Amenities to a Resource:
- Go to the Resource Reservations module and select the Resources tab.
- Choose the resource you want to add an amenity to.
3. Scroll to the Amenities (Optional) section and click "+ Add Amenity."
4. Select an amenity from the library, or create a new one by clicking "+ Create Amenity."
5. Click "Save" to apply the changes.
