This guide outlines the process of relocating equipment within Prism. This feature allows users to update the location of equipment when it is moved from one property to another, ensuring accurate tracking and management of assets across different locations.
Updating your Equipment location information assists with accurate reporting, a clean audit process, and helps your maintenance team keep accurate notes on their assigned equipment pieces.
To update the location of an Equipment Profile:
Within the Equipment profile in the My Equipment module, click "Actions" on the top right of the profile. Then click "Relocate"
Choose a new property to relocate the equipment. Click the blue Yes, Move button to finish.

Q: Can I have the same piece of equipment in two different locations?
A: No. If you have a piece of equipment that needs multiple locations, you will have to create a separate equipment profile for each location it needs to be recorded in. You can clone an equipment profile by following this guide: Cloning Equipment
Q: Is there a limit to how many times I can relocate a equipment profile.
A: No - you can relocate an equipment profile as many times as needed. We recommend updating the equipment profiles as soon as possible to ensure your information in Prism is accurate.
